Boost Philanthropy in Europe
Philanthropy must be boosted in Europe. New challenges, new tools and new methods are spurring philanthropists and their advisors on to develop innovative initiatives for a better society. Philanthropy is becoming ever more diverse and increasingly accessible, and now forms an integral part of the advantages of our societies. But barriers, threats and areas of improvement still remain.
Together with all major philanthropic European partners and networks, the King Baudouin Foundation wants to bring together those involved in European philanthropy to discuss philanthropic trends and opportunities in 2017.
On Friday 12 May 2017, we will invite the European philanthropic sector and stakeholders (philanthropists, policy makers, advisors, notaries, asset managers, private bankers, family offices, and NGO and foundation representatives) to gather together and discuss the evolution and the place of philanthropy in Europe and the new challenges philanthropy is facing for the coming years.
The event ‘Boost Philanthropy in Europe” will propose roundtables and inspiring keynote speeches from our international guests of honour, Philanthropist Ronald Bruder and Ms Shirin Ebadi, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and from European policy makers, like Herman Van Rompuy, President Emeritus of the European Council.
